Method used to enable a company to achieve carbon neutrality

The method of using Offsets enables a company or process to be considered as carbon neutral. Offsets can be purchased to compensate where companies cannot reduce their carbon emissions to meet regulatory or compliance obligations.

Offsets are purchased from companies and governments who have been able to generate real carbon emission reductions.

The process of buying and selling carbon offsets is termed carbon trading.
