KwH

KwH
Summary

Kilowatt Hours

Description

KwH is a unit of measurement for consumption of energy and is calculated as follows:

Energy consumed (KwH) = Power rating * Time.

For example, if an electric fire is rated at 2KW and it runs for an hour, it will consume 2 Kilowatt hours (KwH).

The consumption measurement is important for calculating costs of energy consumed and can be used directly to calculate carbon emissions.
