There are six greenhouse gases idenified and covered by the Kyoto Protocol. They are carbon dioxide (CO2), methane (CH4), nitrous oxide (N2O), hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs), perfluorocarbons (PFCs), and sulphur hexafluoride (SF6). These gases contain properties that absorb and emit radiation in the atmosphere within the infrared range. |
