A company's statement of their committment to environmental matters

An Environmental Statement is a corporate issued statement mandated by the Board, shareholders and stakeholders of an organisation clearly explianing the stance the organisation has on environmental issues.

The statement is an opportunity to clearly establish many aspects of corporate social responsibility and clarity of corporate ethics with regard to the environment and use of the world's resources.

A good statement will cover all aspects of the environment and not just focus on current high profile issues, such as climate change, carbon emmissions and fossil fuels.
