Endorser

An organisation who signs up to promote the EU Code of Conduct

An Endorser is a vendor or consulting organisation, government department or agency, NGO, industry association, Professional and Standard body or Educational institution who has agreed to promote the strategic objectives of the Code within its products and services.

The purpose of this is so that organisations who wish to use components and services that contribute to their own energy management objectives can easily identify like-minded organisations.

A powerful point of recourse to the EU now exists, if a vendor is signed-up, should their products or services not meet their claims or adhere to the ethos of the Code. Consequently, purchasers of IT equipment, software and services should consider engaging registered Endorser's.
