Expresses difference in adoption of technology between cultures/people

The term signifies the difference between a group of people, or different cultures and their use and adoption of technology. A simple example of this is where a large percentage of the UK population interact with a technology-based system on a daily basis, such as using a credit card, operating a computer or driving a car. This is to be compared with the majhority of the population of an African country, where the majority of people do not interact with these type of technologies from even once on a once per year basis.
