Capability Maturity Model Integration

Developed by the Carnegie Mellon Software Engineering Institute (SEI), the Capability Maturity Model® Integration (CMMI) provides the framework for driving process improvement across a company or organisation.

The model can be applied to any scope within a company or process, such as a project, department or even the entire organisation.

CMMI can be used to drive integration of traditionally separate functions, establish process improvement goals, set priorities, provide guidance for quality processes, and provide a point of reference for appraising current processes.
