The CADE rating is an industry metric proposed by the Uptime Institute and Mckinsey Consulting as a strategic and relative measure of data centre performance. In essence it takes the PUE for a data centre and multiplies it by the average CPU utilisation of the installed servers. This value then combines the dual merits of the power and server efficiency into one useful metric that can be used to compare relative efficiencioes between different data centres. |
