Endorser of the EU Code of Conduct

Dimension 85 Endorser of the Code

EU Code of Conduct on Data Centre

Dimension 85 are proud to be one of the first appointed Endorsers of The EU Code of Conduct for Data Centres Energy Efficiency (Code).

To support our commitment as an Endorser we develop and define our products and services for our clients to enable them to meet their obligations as Participants, and to ensure that they receive the long term benefits of reducing energy demand, securing future supply and lowering costs.

What does an Endorser Do?

An Endorser is a vendor or consulting organisation, government department or agency, NGO, industry association, Professional and Standard body or Educational institution who has agreed to promote the strategic objectives of the Code within its products and services.

The purpose of this is so that organisations who wish to use components and services that contribute to their own energy management objectives can easily identify like-minded organisations.

The Code is definitely not a 'Greenwash' activity and the commitments made by both Endorsers and Participants have to be annually justified in order to be considered as active within the scheme.

Therefore for any vendor signed-up to the Code, a powerful point of recourse to the EU now exists should their products or services not meet their claims or adhere to the ethos of the Code.

Consequently, purchasers of IT equipment, software and services should consider engaging registered Endorser's.

Although the Code has a generic basis each type of Endorser organisation will have different responsibilities that they have signed up to. The Code covers these responsibilities, use our link to review the Code types. View the EU Endorsers responsibilities list (opens in a new window).
