DCiE Calculator
Calculation of Data Centre Infrastructure Efficiency, a predominate data centre measurement metric for establishing data centre energy efficiency is simple.
To calculate DCiE requires two main measurements; Total Facility Power and IT Equipment Power.
Obtain the Total Facility Power data from the meter that feeds the data centre, or IT room with power and includes the power consumed by all of the equipment included under the definition all IT Equipment Power, such as, servers, storage, switches, workstations, printers and all of the power used in the power delivery, cooling, air conditioning, UPS. Lighting and other ancillary power consumed in the data centre is also included.
Using a sub-meter, or reading from the UPS or PDU, the IT Equipment Power measures the power that is only delivered to IT equipment and includes all IT equipment used in the delivery of an application, such as, servers, storage, switches, workstations, printers and any other service delivery equipment.

For an understanding of what a DCiE means, see DCiE and other pages on this site.
PUE is a closely related metric to DCiE and they can be considered as the inverse of each other. Use the PUE Calculator to work your own PUE calculation. Link to PUE Calculation to see how PUE is calculated.
